In Ephesians 6:10-13 the Apostle Paul explained why using “all of God’s armor” was important. By doing so, “you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.”
As we grow in our knowledge of God, and as we interact with other believers, we can stay synchronized with His guidance and wisdom. The more we learn the more effectively we can apply all of God’s armor. When we make mistakes, we have the body of Christ to help us through it. When we have successes, we have the body of Christ to rejoice with us. Just like soldiers who work together and learn from each other to improve the whole.
Application helps us grow strong in our faith, standing firmly in our position when challenged by worldly beliefs and doctrines; sometimes shaken, but not stirred away.
